Pre-Approval Store Cards

I would like to open a store card, but would prefer a preapproval site due to my suspect FICO's(Mid 600's). I have read the credit card preapproval post but they only have BoA, HSBC/Orchard, Cap One, and Amex.

Please any help is much appreciated.

Edit: Best Buy web application is not a pre-approval or a soft! You will incur a HARD inquiry and be applied for their store card.

*If you do not qualify for Plan A or Plan B - you will be offered the BB MC with a 59 AF.

What are your scores like? I don't think there are any sites where you can check for pre-approved store card offers.

Re: Pre-Approval Store Cards

Supposedly you can do a pre-approval for the HSBC Best Buy store card, but when I tried it, I would up actually getting a card. Smiley Tongue I never did figure out at what point the pre-approval turned into the real thing. But that was a year ago. Also, mid-600's would probably stick you with the BB MC, which you definitely don't want.

That's funny! --you must have been hitting "send" on the app at the same time that I hit "send" on my post.

Are you sure that you got the store card? I've heard of people applying for the store card but getting the Visa, and not realizing it until the card came. You might want to confirm with customer service (which is a trip in and of itself.)

If it's the store card, congrats (well, even if it's not.) The store card tends to grow with you, and it doesn't seem to require the endless fussing and grooming that their bank cards demand.

Re: Pre-Approval Store Cards

yeah i did receive the store card, howevere; It was the plan B card. Better than getting stuck with the BB MC and it's $59 AF. I keep reading the forums and people on BB Plan B cards keep saying different things about CLI's. The on;y factual difference i have noticed is the higher APR % and 20 vs 23(oplan A) day grace.
