No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
So I know that if you get pre apprvoed you're supposed to get a "Congratulations!" message and they show you exactly what your APR will be.
However I just filled out the application to see if I was pre-approved for any of their cards, and I didn't get a "Congratulations" message, I got a "Recommended for you" message BUT they showed me exactly what my APR would be and not the 15% - 24% based on your credit worthiness message one gets with most reccomendations.
On the bottom of the page, they list more cards and I click on them and they do have the "APR is 15%-24% based on your credit worthiness" message. So was I pre approved or what? I've filled out a lot of pre-approval applications and on all of them I get the "Reccomended for you" and APR is 15%-24% based on youre credit worthiness, message....this is the first time that I've gotten an exact APR number.
Get that "recommended" bogus all the time, but no luve from them so far![]()

^ I GET
I put Mickey Mouses name in the pre qualifier and got a specific interest rate too, so take it however you wish but I wouldn't waste a HP unless you really want to.

I placed my credit bureuas on alert so they can't soft pull me on these credit prequalifed webpages; if you did, you won't see any personal result but general advertisement. Just search for credit card databases and make a judgement for yourself if you think you have good chance that you won't waste an inquiry. For example, I know that American Express uses Experian scores and sometimes double pull and you should have a score that is at least over 720. The database will provide you with more information.

I was just approved today with the prequal page. Instant approval too.
Mine said congratulations and had ACCEPT NOW button next to it.
I also had recommendations but they said APPLY NOW.
I think the approval is good when you enter your info EXACTLY as it is on your TU report. If I change from using Cir or circle and use CL like listed on tu I get the approval. Using other abbreviations I only get recommendations.
That's good info. I remember I had the same problem beause they had the wrong current address. It's funny, all 3 bureus have a different current address..
Unless it has a set APR, it's a mere "recommendation", nothing to take seriously.
