@SunriseEarth, I completely agree! Plus Amex gets an AF with that card, so they could potentially be getting more out of you.
A lot of times those pre-quals simply don't list all of the options out there. If you got a pre-qual for BCE, it may as well have been for BCP as those cards are basically equals in terms of what's required to obtain them.
Another example I'll give is with Chase. Every time I ever searched for pre-qualified offers through them I'd always get the same 3 cards offered: Slate, FU and CSP. Never the Freedom. The Freedom however is usually easier to get than the CSP, so if I'm getting a CSP pre-qual I'm more or less confident that I'd be approved for the Freedom should I apply. Just an example here.
BBS, I didn't think Chase was pre-qualifying me for the Freedom either until I figured out that scrolling horizontally made the fourth card appear.

Really? I'm going to have to try that out! I now have the CSP though, so perhaps the Freedom will replace that slot on my pre-quals.
Edit: Just checked. No option to scroll horizontally for me. And, the CSP is still listed as a pre-qualified offer for me even though I was approved for it 2 days ago.

As the card was a want... not a need... and i told myself no apps till July 2017... I'm waiting...
In reality, I hope my score will improve by then too.
Sounds good...the BCP will be there when you're ready for it. Waiting may get you better CL & terms.
