Re: Present State of my Cards....

So I'm guessing that everything after the Smith Barney card (on the credit card section) is on death row, except for the BofA partially secured card?

That's not a bad place to be.

I'd say that on the store cards, you could easily lose everything but the Nordstrom and maybe the Penney's and Macy's, and do just fine. Although if you have teen-agers and pre-teens, the Old Navy and Target cards will come in handy, lol.

This looks like a nice set of cards to tend in your credit garden. Along with your biz cards, it looks to me like you've got everything covered! More goodies will come with time, and they're more likely to come if you sit and wait, rather than throw rocks at their windows... Smiley Wink

Re: Present State of my Cards....

Thanks Hauling. I think I have more cards that what I need. I do not revolve and I'll always do PIF. There is no way I can use all the CL available to me. Slowly I am going to start sending the cards to Chopping Block.

I think Spiegels / Dillards are first on my list, unless DW wants to use the Spiegels card. Hooters is coming due for AF in June. If they dont waive the AF then it is going to Chopping block. Pearl Card does not have any AF so I can keep it as an extra card on my CR.

I am debating if I should I ask Citi to change my SB card to another card. Nice thing about SB card 1% of purchases credited to FMA account with out any limit. But the drawback, it is a card with no present spending limit and does not report CL.

I am trying to see what makes sense. Should I put my foot down with Citi and ask them to report the CL and if they dont do it, then ask them to change it to Dividened Visa or some other card that reports CL?

Re: Present State of my Cards....

Keep the Dillard's because it can be turned into a Dillard's AMEX with a year of good payment history.

Re: Present State of my Cards....

I have no dillard stores near by me to use the card. I am tired of buying online and paying the shipping charges. Also in Dillards there is nothing we can buy for $200-$300. I'll sock drawer it for now and see what future brings.
