Problem with PC’ing Discover Miles Card

I'm now about to be on month 15 with my discover it miles card.  I've been paid my Cashback match in October and everything but they are telling me I am not allowed to pc the card until Jan 20th.  My Cashback rewards currently aren't updating anymore.  Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem??

I called CS and they said they couldn't override it and the manager tried it too so now I'm stuck with the miles version of the card longer than I need to be.    Just wondering is anyone else dealing with the same problem?

Re: Problem with PC’ing Discover Miles Card

Yes I tried that first and it kept telling me I don't have any offers at this time.  When the reps pull up my account they say it looks as if I am still in my match period until I tell them I've already been paid for it and all.  Then they tried to override it so I can PC and it doesn't work so I'm stuck waiting.

That's interesting. I was able to product change from Chrome to IT while in my Cashback match year.

Re: Problem with PC’ing Discover Miles Card

Idk if it's a glitch or what but it sucks.  Maybe having the discover during covid had something to do with it.

Re: Problem with PC’ing Discover Miles Card

I think that it's the terminology and maybe lack of knowledge on the rep's part. I had my card for about a month and tried to convert it and the rep swore that I couldn't change the card for a year. I was able to talk to someone else, who was able to convert it. For me, I believe the fact that my card was secured probably caused the confusion. I can't think of any other way for you to explain that you're trying to convert the card from miles to something else. I'd escalate it to another manager, especially since your rewards aren't updating.
