Good evening, fellow myFico'ers!
My Capital One Quick Silver (which was product changed from the original Platinum) was just product changed to the Venture One.
For all reading this, the card just surpassed the one year mark.
I did not see for either move any notification in my account from Capital One. What I did was accessed my account, clicked on the "credit card" (because I have a checking account - the Capital One 360 Checking) and simply added the /productupgrade at the end (up in the address bar, after the "="). This is a well known way to check with Capital One if your card has any available upgrades or product changes available.
I just received it today in the mail and activated it.
For those interested, I have been able to continue using the QuickSilver card. However, the rewards changed from the 1.5% cash back to reward points from the moment the product change occurred.
Starting Score: Exp 627What were the timeframes from when you got approved for the cap one platinum to when you product changed to the quicksilver to now the venture one? I've been trying to do the same but no luck yet.

@HowDoesThisAllWork Congrats on the upgrade! Cap1 is great a surprising their valued customers with product changes. I have the QS & QS1 with them. I hope they upgrade one of those at some point. I'm in the garden after getting the SavorOne, but I will take a free upgrade anytime. ![]()

@Boribori I had the Platinum for six months when I tried the "/productupgrade" trick and was advised of the possibility of the QuickSilver. That was January, 2022. I had the QuickSilver for six+ months when I again tried the "/productupgrade" trick and was advised of the possibility of the Venture One. That was a week ago or so!

@DLynn1920 Capital One did not surprise me. They did not do anything. I - because of knowledge that I have gained from this awesome forum - was aware that an upgrade (aka, product change) might be available after six months. And because of that, I added the "/productupgrade" at the end of the URL and - solely due to that - was advised that the option to product change to the Venture One (in this case.........to the QuickSilver back in January) was available.
Maybe Capital One would have notified me had I not done this.....we will never know. I am also PRETTY SURE that this card is bucketed. And I am okay with that. For now! :-)
PS. Edited for clarity - I mean no dispresct here. I hope that the "tone" is not aggressive and condescending because that is assuredly not my intent here.
Starting Score: Exp 627@HowDoesThisAllWork That's pretty awesome. That's a hack I didn't know. What's the link? My upgrades came only after Cap1 alerted me in the app.
Congrats on your product change from QuickSilver to Venture One!!!
They have a direct link to check for product upgrades. Not sure if we can post them on here or not.

Congrats!!😃 I've been trying to product change my quicksilver every month for a year now, no luck yet BUT they showed that I can "upgrade" my SavorOne into a quicksilver....no thank you 🙄
What are the advatages of 1.25 miles per $1 (Venture One) compared to 1.5% (Quicksilver)? I looked at Capital One's transfer list (https://www.capitalone.com/learn-grow/money-management/venture-miles-transfer-partnerships/) and am underwhelmed.
