Proof required for student cards?

For those with student card experience, do they usually ask for proof of enrollment? I'd like to make sure we have everything together when my kids apply.  Will most likely be going with Discover, AMEX and Chase. Maybe Cap1 if they want something with a SUB.

Thanks!

With my daughter,  5 years ago. "No"

However they use to give extra money if one submitted grades,

and they were "B" or better.  A little extra bonus on the student version.

Was not needed to get/apply but if you wanted the bonus you needed to

upload proof.  No data on other cards

Re: Proof required for student cards?

For my son, Discover asked for some proof of student status last year. It was simple though, they accept multiple forms of proof.

A few months ago, discover needed us to upload proof.  Many different examples were provided, they accepted his admission letter with no further questions.

Re: Proof required for student cards?

You could establish a for profit school, MikeO School of Fabrications, and sell admission letters. Perhaps sell AU account status as well under the business entity. Then siphon off money from that company by paying consulting fees to the overseas entity MikeO Consulting LLC to avoid paying US taxes.

Show a loss at MikeO School due to management fees paid to MikeO Consulting. Use the reported losses at MikeO School to offset investment gains elsewhere. After 3 years of reported losses, file for bankruptcy at MikeO School.

Re: Proof required for student cards?

My daughter applied for the Discover Student card today (approved for $1500). They required a docoment that showed when she will start attending. The acceptence letter would have been fine as would her student ID. There were probably about 15 things in the list to choose from.
