Pull type and timing for CLIs

I know it is a well established fact that you can try for an AMEX 3X SP CLI at 61 days after account opening and then you can try for CLI every 6 months.   What about other Cards?   Here is what I know/think.   I wll update the list with any additional info you all may provide.

AMEX - SP; 61 days after account open; 181 days after an approval on any of your AMEX cards; 91 days after a denial; no clock reset if you've requested too soon

Cap One - SP; 6 months after an approval; no clock reset after a denial, if you've declined the offer of an increase, or if you've requested too soon

Chase - HP unless auto CLI

Discover SP, timeline seems to vary.

Citibank - SP possible, but could be HP at 6 month intervals

Sync -  ??

Your input please.

AMEX - SP at 61 days after account open then every 180 Days

Cap One - 6 month intervals (not sure HP or SP)

Chase - ??

Discover - ??

Citibank - ??

CapOne: SP every 6 months.

Chase: Sometimes offers auto CLI (though rare), but otherwise, it's always HP.

Discover: I haven't gotten a CLI in over a year from them, so not sure, the last few years have been SP (in 2013 it was HP)

Citi: Can go either way. HP at any time. After some period of time (? 6 months, 9 months), can get SP CLI (will say a CR won't be pulled). Once you get a SP CLI, usually have to wait 6 months to get another.

Sync: Don't know.

Re: Pull type and timing for CLIs

Discover is a soft pull from the credit limit increase button on the website.  There are even people who try every week, but that doesn't seem to yield weekly results.

Most people seem to be on a set amount of months that is unannounced.  I tried every month after the statement posted, and it worked for me after 3 months and after 6 months, so I'm guessing that I'm on an "every 3 months" trajectory.  After 1, 2, 4, and 5 months I got a "you need more experience with your current credit limit" letter in the mail after denial.  Instead of trying every month, I'll probably just try every 3 months now.  I only got a $500 increase at 3 months and again at 6 months, but that varies by person as well.

I've seen other people say they got one every 6 months, and some who have said it worked every month for awhile.

Either way, there doesn't seem to be a down side to hitting the button every so often to see if it works for you.

To add, if you already have an Amex CC and approved for another prior to the 181 days.

You can still request a cli on the card that's due for a increase. The newest approval doesn't affect the time line IME.
