Re: QS1 HOW MANY CAN I hAVE

I'm sure someone has done it. So you have a regular QS, and want a QS1?

Re: QS1 HOW MANY CAN I hAVE

Why do you want more than one? Pretty redundant and won't really help your credit

Yes, you can apply and be approved for another Cap1 card.  Cap1 allows multiple prime & multiple sub-prime accounts.  I currently have a QS & a QS1 in my wallet.

I'm very curious about the logic behind this. What would you gain from doing that?

I don't know why the OP is doing it, but I can explain some of the reasons for it.  As of right now, the QS1 is the only card offering 0% APR through 2017 (available from Cap1).  I did it to utilize the 0% APR to pay off student loans early and avoid accruing additional interest.

Alternatively, you can also later combine the accounts, which is an avenue to create higher limit cards.

I agree with you, that is the reason I'm doing it, will be doing some transfer to the new card and then combine at a later date for higher limit
