Yes, you can apply and be approved for another Cap1 card. Cap1 allows multiple prime & multiple sub-prime accounts. I currently have a QS & a QS1 in my wallet.
I'm very curious about the logic behind this. What would you gain from doing that?

I don't know why the OP is doing it, but I can explain some of the reasons for it. As of right now, the QS1 is the only card offering 0% APR through 2017 (available from Cap1). I did it to utilize the 0% APR to pay off student loans early and avoid accruing additional interest.
Alternatively, you can also later combine the accounts, which is an avenue to create higher limit cards.
i currently have the Capital one secured card and the QS1 on the way,I hve no clue what I will do with either of them when I make it out of subprime but they are my first cards since rebuilding started, I will just learn from the advise everyone is getting to form my plan but I want a Chase and Discover next but eill wait until i have better chances...Good luck
