My QS1 visa was Orchard...i wonder if i can make it a QS master card to get rid of the AF.  My AF gets waived every year because the rep said it can't be removed from the system (this was last year).  He said the notes will be there for all CSRs to see and that i just have to call every year when the AF posts so they can waive it...what a hassle!

It doesnt matter if its a Visa or MasterCard. You have a "QS1" which has an annual fee and you want to request a product change to a "QS" with no annual fee.

Is it weird that I have a QS1 with no AF?

You two might want to talk to CSR if yours was from Orchard...my wife paid AF for 2 years (didnt tell me) and when i told her to call CSR and have it waived, they did.  Now she also was told to call every year once AF is posted and get it waived no questions asked.

Mine came from Household, never had an AF there either. I watch my statements to make sure it's never there.

Very rare bird. Never heard of a quicksilver 1 visa card! Also, like others have said, I think that an upgrade after 1 month is just not justified. you need to show them at least 6 months and then they will be helpful.

I still have a quicksilver 1 card with a 19 annual fee that they wont waive permanently but will waive it if i call every year. Then they will bombard me with saying that the cards are idenitcal except for the annual fee (which duh they are but after 4 years of excellent payment history/ relationship with them, no dice).

The one thing I have learned and it is has been the ABSOLUTE HARDEST for me, is give it time.

Re: QS1 MasterCard to QS MasterCard product change approved! Follow up questions for all.

Add them on Facebook and reach out to them via a facebook message.

1- its a 50/50 but they are nice to deal with and will ask you for the bes times to reach to you and they do follow up.

2- i feel like facebook is less intrusive, they want you to reach out to them via social media.

3- its a lot easier to spit out what you want on facebook than calling a csr.
