Re: Question On Credit Card Transfer And Closing Cards

How are your balances distributed among your cards? Has your credit union denied you increases in the past?

Ya, hard credit check for creditline increase.   Did not do it.   This credit union has my lowest credit card limit, I doubt I would get a decent increase.   Definetly would not get a big enough increase to trandser balances...

Not sure what to do now, try for a balance transfer card that offers 0%?

That will also cause a hard pull.

Re: Question On Credit Card Transfer And Closing Cards

@potbelly, is there a reason you're so concerned about inquiries? My gut says that you should apply for CLIs at the credit union AND apply for a 0% card.

Your credit age is good, and you haven't applied for anything for a while. Your overall utilization should be fine. The only profile question I have is about the utilization on your individual cards. It'd be better if none of them had ridiculously high utilization. But even if they do, I'd probably suggest rolling the dice with the apps.
