Question about Amex Gold dining credit

Those of you with the gold Amex, how many days does it usually take for the dining credit (Grubhub pickup in this case) to post after the transaction posts? First time using it, statement cut about two days after the charge, charge is on the statement, but no credit.

It all depends. I've seen it show up 2-5 days after the charge has posted.

Usually within 2 days, but 5 days top for me. Should have received an email with “Great News! You just used your Amex Offer”

Re: Question about Amex Gold dining credit

With the dining credit you won't get the "Great New" offer email as it's a card benefit/credit rather than an offer that one has to activate. But yes, I agree with the 2-5 day window.

Re: Question about Amex Gold dining credit

When I use it at Cheesecake Factory, it's always been within 2 days of the charge posting.

Sorry. That was my mistake. I forgot I had the Additional MR offer attached. Disregard

Re: Question about Amex Gold dining credit

Actually, I did get the email even though it was only the benefit, not the offer.

Guess I’ll see it in a day or two.

Re: Question about Amex Gold dining credit

Because of the slight delay, it's best not to wait until the last day of the month to go get your cheesecake from the factory. I did this a few months ago, and the credit was applied as the next month credit.

I did get cheesecake, free, but not two cheesecake for free. Smiley Wink
