Question about Barclays and Penfed product change

I have a Wyndham card from Barclays and power cash card from Penfed. I would like to get the JetBlue card and Pathfinder card. I read product change is not possible with either bank but Penfed would have you close the current card and move your limit to the one you want. Would it be better to just straight apply for the Pathfinder card rather than close the power cash so I can get the sign up bonus? For Barclays would I be able to move my Wyndham limit to open a New JetBlue card?

Barclays won't let you PC to another co-branded card. I knew this but still tried to PC my Uber to Jetblue -- unsuccessfully of course. You can definitely apply, and then move your current CL to the new card.

Penfed won't PC either. You have to apply for the Pathfinder, and then decide what to do with your PCR. You can also move your limits with Penfed. I did the exact thing you're trying to do and kept the Pathfinder only.
