About 11 months ago I applied for the Citi custom cash card and they requested tax docs. I got the packet in the mail and then I was distracted by a family illness and just never completed that. By the time I remembered I didn't really care anymore lol but now they're sending me offers for the simplicity and I was curious, will they want the tax docs again if I apply for this? Is that other application technically still open? 🤔 Anyone with any experience here?

Hello. I applied for the Custom Cash card late last year after being approved for the Rewards Plus. I was required to send in tax documents- actually had to send them twice because the first ones weren't filled out correctly. I went through all that and was declined, which was frustrating. They did 2 hard pulls, to boot. As for your application, I do not think it's still open. Citi set a time limit for me to get the documents in. I think it was 10 business days, and then the application would expire.
If you want the Simplicity, just go for it and see what happens. Keep us posted.
