Question about NFCU online application form

I was looking at the NFCU cashRewards credit card application and the preliminary page only asks for contact number, mother's maiden name, annual income and a handful of other questions.  When you click the continue button, does it take you to a much longer application form, or is that it?

Also, I have read through the NFCU cc approval threads and some member report being instantly approved while it seems like an equal number need to wait a few days for review.  I wonder if anyone has insight into what triggers a review and what prompts an instant approval?

Thanks!

Re: Question about NFCU online application form

I had to wait 3 days (got the 3-5 day message) and they called me to ask if I had any household income to add.  After telling them about my child support (which I never receive but still counts as income if it is court ordered), I was approved.  Maybe the income has something to do with it, or my score may have been borderline.  I had a 649 on EQ at the time, with 2 paid  and 1 unpaid coll.  I can't remember how long the app was though.

YW!   Smiley Wink    By the way, I forgot, they  also give you some options of paying automatically from your account, either in full or minimum payment.

Re: Question about NFCU online application form

Oh, that's very good to know. Thanks again!

I hope that someone out there recalls whether or not the first application screen (very short) is just a precursor to another, longer application for credit cards.  I am not quite ready to apply so I didn't want to click "continue" for fear that it would submit the app.

You go through multiple screens, then it will try to give instant decision, otherwise goes to under writing... my app took just about 2 hours to be reviewed
