I have had my Overstock store card for almost 4 years now....It had a SL of $250 and now it is at $2450. I have used this card a lot....furniture and some big purchases.....never late and it has grown nicely. I was going to hit the request credit increase button to see if I can get an increase, as I see an item I am wanting and it is at $3000 before my coupon.....the coupon works and it is going to take 21% off. When I hit the button, it no says "Please note we may need to access your credit report when considering your request. By submitting this request, you grant us permission to do so." Has anyone tried getting a CLI on their Comenity cards and gotten this message? Did you get a hard pull?
I have the Club O Mastercard also, but my limit is better on the store card, plus I get 24 months to pay it with the store card before having to pay any interest.
i got my wifes overstock upto 8k and she never got a hp it has the same wording in her account

I have a lot of Comenity cards...14 of them and I use them frequently....the oldest ones being almost 4 years old and the newest one being about 9-10 months old....so I am kind of scared to click on that, cause if they do a HP, it might make them decide to close my accounts. Is it better to do it over the phone? And if so, what number do I call?
I found the number and was turned down by the Robo lady. But I felt better then checking a box saying it was OK for a HP.

Glad to hear you didn't get an HP. With 14 card with one lender I'd be afraid to ask for a CLI via HP or SP as I just wouldn't want to draw any unnecessary attention to myself.
Concur. If I do ever go for that BJ's MasterCard, and get approved, I'll probably close my Overstock store card then, just so I don't emulate the famous Japanese proverb about the nail. Though, that being said, for the most part - there are always exceptions - Comenity's infamous skittishness applies to cases where the accountholder has a LOT of cards with them (like the OP with 14), particularly SCT cards. One each store and major probably wouldn't trigger them, but why borrow unneccessary trouble?
Oooh! I'm glad I read this and thanks for posting. I didn't even notice they got rid of the checkbox to allow them the option of a hard pull. Guess I will be happy with my limit as is. Just checked and it's the same on my Ulta card. Ah well, it was a nice run.
I have two co-branded cards from Comenity Capital Bank. I get CLIs every four months and 1 day like clock work. I would never check the box giving them permission to potentially give me a HP though.
I had 12 Comenity cards during the SCT craze. My next CLI is set for 14 days from now but I think I'm going to try the 6 month scenario to see if they give me double what they do under the 4 month and 1 day schedule. I'm trying to break the $10k level on the other card and my usual CLI would keep me just shy of that amount.
