Question about QS credit steps

I was recently approved for a CO QS with a $300 SL. Does this mean I am automatically placed on the credit steps program?
I called a CSR and verified that I was approved for the QS with the cash back features with no AF. I thought it was for the QS1 but it's not.
So, with such a low SL, does that mean I am in the credit steps or no?

Re: Question about QS credit steps

The QS has a minimum starting credit line above $300. I’ll have to go look to see the exact amount.

It is considered one of Cap1 premium cards. The premium cards are not included in credit steps.

I think the CSR meant you were approved for QS1.

Edit: according to the website, the minimum starting CL is 1K.

Re: Question about QS credit steps

From the rates/disclosures portion for the QS:

How Do You Determine My Credit Line?
We will determine your credit line after a review of your application and your ability to pay. If your application is approved, the minimum credit line you will receive is $1,000.

Edit: cleaned up for update.

Re: Question about QS credit steps

Having said that I don't know how fast and hard they keep to this rule since I've seen several people report similar SLs with credit steps for the QS. That is unless they're confusing it with the QS1 like JAG73 said.

Re: Question about QS credit steps

The only Quicksilvers I've noticed with limits of less than $1,000 are those that have been the result of product changes. It'll be interesting to see what the OP can report back once she receives the card.

I think it’s a QS1. Unless it was product changed? And you’d be in the credit steps program then. Even with a product change you’d still be in the credit steps with Capitalone. So assume credit steps is my best guess.

Re: Question about QS credit steps

Good to know. Thank you for that info. I'll report back once I receive the card. It mailed yesterday!
