I was wondering if the Price Protection benefit of a WMC applies to Amazon purchases.
The reason I'm asking is I bought a tablet for a family member for Christmas with my Sallie Mae WMC on Amazon, and I was wondering if I could be reimbursed if the tablet in question has gone down in price since I purchased it...
I don't want to have to dig out my literature, but I thought for some reason it had to be an advertised PRINT price as in newspaper ad for a brick and mortar store. Could be wrong, someone will be able to give you a definitve answer.
Yeah, it does say that. That does worry me. On the other hand, obviously there are limitations with online shopping...I'm hoping someone with firsthand experience can share their story.

Yeah, it says printed ad. This is from the benefits PDF for my SM.
What is the Price Protection benefit?
The Price Protection benefit assists you in achieving the best possible price on
products you buy entirely with an eligible card. If you buy an eligible item with
your card in the United States and see a printed advertisement of it for less
at any retail store within one hundred and twenty (120) days of the original
purchase date, simply file a valid claim and we will refund the difference
up to $250.00 per item. This benefit is limited to $1,000.00 a year per
cardmember’s eligible account.

Well rats. That stinks. It's not much money, but oh well...
Well it's family after all, just make them give it back to you then you can return it. Then go buy them the cheaper one online!
