earlier today before I saw these two replies, I was standing outside my office building where there is a chase next to it. The manager is outside smoking usually and is really nice and I have a 3 year repore with him. I was telling him how my amazon visa was the hardest chase card for me to get and I received a 500 credit line.
He told me to come inside and he can call them up and reconsider the initial credit line. I told him I didn't want another hard pull. He said thats only if we say you want to reapply or apply for credit line increase. But, he can call tell them to reconsider this card because my other chase cards that have 5k and 10k limits. I said to him well maybe I hit my exposure level with chase right now, he said no its more based on your credit history. Im thinking this guy has been the branch manager for a long time and he acted like a credit exposure limit with chase was unheard of.
I could definitely tell he was eager to help me because 1 i am really nice and 2 I was talking knowing the fico forums and proper lingo/ chase background info.
He called, didnt have me talk to them and he told me they reconsidered your initiial credit limit to 4k. Thanks for being a chase customer.
