Hello all,
I recently exceeded my Discover credit limit by $3.00, but my statement doesn't cut for another 3 weeks almost. I just submitted a payment today and the balance will report 0 by the time the statement actually cuts. Will Discover hold this against me for the forseeable future or is it not a big deal for such a small amount considering there won't even be a balance to report by the time the statement cuts?
Thanks

They might charge you an overlimit fee. There won't be any other damage. If they do charge the o/l fee I would call and ask them to waive it.

I just called and they said that Discover doesn't assess over limit credit lines until the statement is actually cut. She said as long as I'm under the limit by then, it really doesn't matter.
Great information!
Cheers!
