Question before I apply...

Right now, equifax has a wrong address for me and didn't have any number for my wifes social. Also, she changed her last name but they still have her old name on file. So we both faxed in our info today so hopefully everything will be up to date. We are planning on getting some new cards as well as a CLI on our current card. My question is, should we apply for the Discover and Citi cards now along with the CLI or should I wait until that information is changed?

BoA 123 $2.5k (11/12) // Discover It $3.9k (7/13) // Citi Forward Student $3.8k (7/13) // Chase Freedom 5k (12/13) // Amex Blue Cash 6k (1/15)

Starting Score: No Credit History (11/12)
Current Score: MyFico 761
Goal Score: 800+

You can just go ahead with it. Worst case scenario you have to fax your ID in for verification. Get it done earlier so the inquiry will age earlier Smiley Tongue

Okay, so should she put her new name on the applications? I didn't want us to be denied because we are in the process of updating some of the information lol

Re: Question before I apply...

IMO, I'd wait the few days. Nothing like not getting an instant approval because of a name/address update. Chances are it will update tonight.

That's what I was thinking, better to wait and be safe than be sorry!

Re: Question before I apply...

I've been denied b4 because of change of address issues. Some bank softwares are really sensitive to that. Wait a month or so.

I find that it's best to wait until your current creditors update the info with the bureaus. They always do after every billing cycle.
