I just noticed that I now can earn up to 100,000 MR points based on referrals for new cards at 30,000 points per referral on my Gold card. My Platinum card says I earn 30,000 point per referral up to a maximum of 55,000 MR points per year. Why would I have different max points on each card?
I always assumed the limit applied to all cards combined. Now I am wondering . . . can I earn 100,000 points per year on referrals from my gold card and ALSO earn an additional 55,000 points for referrals from my Plat card?
Just want to make sure I am not leaving points behind each year that I could be earning.
Amex has recently begun rolling out extended annual referral caps to 100k or $1000. The earnings caps are per card that you refer (regardless of the card that the friend, family member, or business acquaintance ultimately applies for). I am showing 100k cap for Gold but still 55k for both personal and business Platinum Cards. (55k for BBP, peronal and business Delta Reserve, and peronal and business Marriott cards; no offer for Blue.)
