Question on CreditKarma

I just signed up the CreditKarma. Does it pull all 3 CR's or just one? If it is just one which CR is it based on? It gives me one score on the screen. I have no idea which CR it came from. Does it also display the accounts and other details or just score? I did not see any option on the screen to view other details, all I see is just my score.

The score is based on only one CR.  They don't tell you which one.  I'm not sure if it's consistently the same one.  It looked to me like it came from TU.

CreditKarma gives only the score, no accounts or other details -- hey, what did you expect for free?!

Re: Question on CreditKarma

I signed up this morning too. It seems to just give you the TU score with no details and how accurate that is, I am not sure.

I am not overly impressed by the site, but I guess its well worth the moneySmiley Very Happy

Re: Question on CreditKarma

I just googled. I guess they provide based on TU. Not bad for a free service.

Re: Question on CreditKarma

I just signed up and I don't know if they pulled TU, EX, or EQ, but it said I have a score of 762, which definitely isn't the case for any of them.

Seems like a complete FAKO to me.

I didn't see any way to get details of the credit report, like accounts, inquiries, etc.

At least the other FAKO sites give you account details. This seems pretty worthless.

Re: Question on CreditKarma

Yeah, but for what purpose?

If the account details aren't there and the score is meaningless, what's the point, even if free?

Re: Question on CreditKarma

I posted this earlier this morning on another post:

These are my TU score on 3 different  sites:

CreditKarma - TU 693
TrueCredit - TU 667
MyFico - TU 635

CreditKarma uses TU scores and TrueCredit is by TU.
When I compared my scores CreditKarma's TU score is almost 25 points higher than TrueCredit - and both of these were checked on the same day. I would trust TrueCredit since it is a division of TransUnion but I also like CreditKarma because it makes me feel good with the high credit score.

I know that everyone has heard this before, but for the benefit of any new members and visitors, the TrueCredit score is a complete FAKO. It doesn't matter that it comes from TransUnion --they're just trying to flog their TransRisk scores. No lender that I'm aware of uses these scores.

This is from the infinitesimally small, pale grey print at the bottom of the score page on my TrueCredit reports that I just pulled:
TrueLink is not connected in any way with Fair, Isaac and Company; the credit score provided here is not a so-called FICO score. The credit scores of TransUnion may not be identical in every respect to any consumer credit scores produced by any other company.
It's fun to look at TransRisk scores, and CreditKarma, and Experian Plus, and all the others for giggles, but everyone here that I've seen who posts and follows their FAKO's eventually winds up getting bent out of shape at how misleading they are. And I've seen some serious damage done to people's credit by following the advice that comes with FAKO scores. (And yes, I love the reports; they're wonderful, and worth every penny, IMO.)

Think of these scores as credit Ouija boards. Smiley Wink
