Question on Oasis issue date

I got my Oasis card but it says member since 08. My previous card was issued in 1995. Should the issue date for the new card be same as the old card as 95? Any comments from present Oasis card owners?

I called and talked to Amex. They said they will overnight me a new card today that indicates I am member since 1995. Great.....

I seem to have this love hate relationship with Amex. I really hated the way the dealt with my Delta App and I decided to give up. I am pleased they value my relationship and respect my wishes and they are sending me a new card with my orginial membership date. I guess I need to give some time and take things slowly to get used to the Amex relationship.

Concord, I am thinking of writing a Shakesperian"esque" play about you and your love/hate relationship w/ Amex.

I think I might call it "The Oasis Chronicles"...LOL!

Seem to have?? Nope you definitely have a love hate-relationship with them. It is quite hysterical.

I don't know what's funnier the fact that you have totally ditched the Delta after all of the commotion or the fact that you put you Oasis in the sock-drawer every other day!

It's ok though...CCC's can be a bit nerve racking at times!!

Ok, netpanther when are you starting the book? Hurry up, now that Writers are on strike, it might be  possible one of the Hollywood Producers might buy your book and make a moive out of it.

I have a new Oasis Optima from AMEX.  I also understood that the date would be my original issue date which was 1997.  My card says member since 2003.  I had no new AMEX products/cards issued in 2003.  What should I do?  Any suggestions?  Also, have any of you had your CO's removed from your credit reports since getting your Oasis?  Mine is not reporting yet--have had it abt a month.
