Question on charging up to Max on CC

Just a quick question with hopefully a few respondersSmiley Happy

I've heard different versions on this, and needs more opinions. Is it ok to charge up to the max your cc, and then pif like a week before the statement cuts? Lets say my limit is $1k. Can I run $1k thru it in a month, and then turn around and pif even like a few days later, or pay down to like 1% before statement cuts??

I've heard it's ok, then heard not to do it.... I don't see the big deal if you're pif before statement cuts! I've heard never charge more than 30% on CL, but I see in these boards people running like $3k thru a $1k card, but are also making several payments though the month. Is that ok to do?

Just wanting some advice. I have one cc with a $500cl. I ran $252 thru it last statement, but pif before statement cut and it reported $0 bal. will it also reports that I charged basically 50% of CL, and then that looks bad? I'm so confused!!! I need clarification please!!! LolSmiley Happy thanks

Re: Question on charging up to Max on CC

Just use it according to your needs. Even if the card is to report a maxed out balance, it won't be an issue as long as you don't drag that balance on perpetually while making only small payments.

I have my CSP reporting >100% utilization. It did ding my score considerably, but none of the lenders have taken AA against me. The balances are already all paid off though I did rack up some new charges again.

I'm not planning to apply for anymore new credit soon so it's essentially a non-issue.

Re: Question on charging up to Max on CC

If your payment is posted before the statement cuts, then it does not matter. The only thing that matters is what your statement says.
