Is it a good idea, to check my credit score if I'm new to credit? I've had a credit card with my bank less than 6 months, GOOD payment history, always on time and more than the min. Is it a good idea to check my reports, and see what my score is or should I wait it out for 6 months?
Checking your credit doesnt hurt you so I dont see why it would be a bad idea, you should check it anyway just because you think you dont have credit you should still check for fraudelent accounts etc.

+1
I checked it, I got a 702-704. I've only had two cards for about four months, is it a good idea to open up some more accounts so my file isn't so "thin"..
Yea you should open 1 or 2 dont go crazy at one time.

Be careful, and go slow.
My DD has scores in the 700's and got a few denials for too few accounts...now she has three open accounts in good standing on her own, and one AU of mine...all of hers are 90 days old, but she's waiting til the six month mark.
By all means, apply for one or two...but if you get denials, just sit and wait.
Good luck!
