Recently recieved a quite small auto CLI on my CFF.
DPs: More than 1-year history. Chase checking/savings/investment accounts. 8 months with the CFF. Currently 4/24. 3 inquiries. FICO8s are TU-755, EQ-765, and a baffling EX-725 [see recent post, and yes Chase uses EX in my region]. <1% utilization. No balances. No lates/misseds/bankruptcies/foreclosures, etc. No apps in last seven months. $90K+. $2K-$2.5K on the CFF every month.
My question is can I - check that - would it do any good to call the reconsideration line and make my case for a larger increase. I understand that it's a SP now, there's no harm in asking, etc. I'm just curious what the DPs are for a successful CLI reconsideration.
Thanks.
You cant recon an auto cli, give them a call and ask for one though you might not be able to get one for 6 mos post the auto increase
So, called the dedicated reconsideration line this morning
The rep said that Chase will only double CLs. He said this definitively, as if Chase never gives more [or less?] than a doubling of one's current limit, which doesn't sound right given the simple math of exponential growth, but whatever.
Said to wait "approximately 4-5 months" and call back and he's sure it will be doubled again.
I'll be sure to touch base here again in 5 years to see if my CL really has grown to $8.2M

What was your limit?
How much was the increase?

Well, even if one time they decline a CLI, it will still be $4.1M, which, while not great, is at least respectable.
