I am wanting to downsize many of my cards esp those with AF (currently almost 2k/year in AF)

1. First im wanting to combine CL for my chase cards (if they do that) i currently have Chase amazon, Freedom, CSP, Marriot, and the United Explorer Card. Which one would be the best to keep.

2. What would be the impact on closing alot of CC in a short period of time?

If you close a lot of your Chase cards after receiving the bonuses you risk some type of AA from Chase. They are not big on people opening cards to get bonuses and then closing them.

my strategy is to keep annual fee cards for the second year and then cancel if I don't find use in them. This way I don't look like a a bonus chaser.

Can you tell us which cards you have open with an annual fees and the ones you plan on closing? Thts is the only way to get the best responses. Also, as Irish80 said if you received bonuses and just closed them shortly after then the lender may think you opened it for the bonuses/rewards.

US Airways $90. How often do you fly this?

BBVA $50 - With the $25 gift card sent out by Amex, annual fee is $25

In the nutshell, good decision to close some. That is a lot of money in annual fees..
