If I do a product change with Capital One, or any card for that matter, does the account on the credit report remain the same along with the number?
Or will i have 2 cap one accounts on my report....Will it display my current product as closed, and a new product as opened? Any affect on AAoA?
I have never been successful getting a product change from Cap One. They always just tell me to apply again. Is it because my fico needs to reach the 700s first?
I just did one from Platinum (Credit Steps) to Quicksilver (No AF) with the credit scores in my sig. Have you tried through online chat? That's how I got mine.
Yes and you know I really feel like they dont even read what I write...they just regurgitate some policy or something that they copy and paste..Its sad too cause cap one is my first card post bk7 discharge that I got in september 2012. Being patient is not my forte but I really am trying to garden and hang in there for a while.
Check your PMs. (the # I gave you is staffed 8a-8p)
How long were you in the Credit Steps program and had the Platinum cad before you requested and got approved for the QuickSilver?
Ugh, just received the card today. Didn't realize how ugly the card was. It looks like a cheap cardboard cutout that fills wallets when you purchase them.
I know there's a few folks that try to grab card just based on looks, but this card is just plain embarassing.

Nice thing about that is that you can change the image and the new card will be prettier, thicker, and have raised letters.
