Quick Nfcu question

I took another HP yesterday from Nfcu for a cli and didn't get it. I think that's the third one I've gotten in three months. Anyways, I just read after the second screen comes up and you don't get approved for the amount you requested or a counter offer,

You can call in and cancel the cli request before they HP you!?!????

It's too late for me now, but next time? That is amazing if true. I've been missing that step ever since the 50 page cli thread for Nfcu.

Can anyone confirm this? Any special verbiage in cancelling the cli request? Thank you

The thing about calling to the avoid the HP is you'll have to call almost immediately and speak to someone in that department which is not open 24hrs.  NFCU does answer calls 24hrs but the department you actually need to speak with to avoid the "manual review"/HP isn't opened 24hrs.

This was based on my experience.  Hope this helps.
