Recieved my replacement Quicksilver w/ EMV today in the mail and noticed something odd. It looks pretty much the same as the previous one I had (feels more substantial thankfully), but my Visa logo is no longer signature in the bottom right. I had to call in and get customer serive to change my original to a signature about 9 months ago, so is it possible they downgraded me back to the regular Visa? Not a huge deal, since I only use it for Uber now, but it just seemed strange and wanted to see what others recieved.
That is weird. Did you try calling them?
My DW also requested new EMV chip card today and now I am worried if they will downgrade hers to MC from WMC. She also got her WMC upgrade about 7 months ago via EO.
All I can say is I think Capital One is just weird about this. My QS was upgraded to a Signature, but when I got my replacement card, which happened to be a custom image card, it just said "Visa Platinum". I called and asked about it, they said oops it was probably a mistake, sent me another one, and it still said Visa Platinum. Now, at this point I gave up because it is still a Signature on my account and I get the Signature "benefits" so it wasn't worth hassling with anymore.
My understanding is sometimes if your account was not originally a Signature, their system often goofs up with it when sending you replacement/new cards. The replacement cards usually seem to default to your account's original status (i.e. Platinum not Signature).
If it really bothers you, you can call the EO and see what they can do, but rest assured your card has not been "downgraded" on the back end and is still a Signature; it's just a typographical error more or less. It really doesn't matter though. You're still going to have the same benefits. You didn't get downgraded.

The weird thing is I just logged in an its reverted back to Platinum on the website as well. Not worth more than a SM to me, but looks like it is a full on downgrade as of now
Meh close it.. They are a headache more so than a help.. Granted the rewards are easy to redeem and typically don't CLD a person.. about the only redeeming properties of Cap1. Sure isn't their CS!

I've had similar issues when I requested that my image card to reset to the default design. Card design received and icon online are wrong. CSR opened a case, escalated it, and it was resolved in about ten days.
The card is not really downgraded to the original product. It's a technical, image card issue that they never fixed.
Now back to the original question, can anyone confirm? If you had undergone a conversion/upgrade, did the EMV revert your card design to the original product?
Both my QS WMC and VS were upgrated to those tiers a while ago. When the new EMV replacements came in the mail last weekend, they retained the same tier levels (i.e. no downgrade) - the website reflects the same. Not sure if that's a system glitch or what. Odd indeed.
Well decided to give chat a try and was met with a very unknowledgable CSR :/ Not worth the time. Getting as much 20% on Uber as I can out of it before it takes a long sock drawer nap
