Fuuny you post this. I got my QS MC today. It was ugraded from a Plat MC. Same number. Just the 3 digit code changed and a added year to the exp date. Yes the picture changes. Took a week between that and the card arrival today.

I log onto my account tonight and I used to have my own picture icon for that account and now it is changed to a Quicksilver card icon without the one on it. Could this possibly mean that they have already upgraded it? I hope so.
If this card does get upgraded does this mean it will be in the prime tier or will it still be in the sub-prime card catagory?
I really hope that this goes through. It was my first experience with the EO and it was really a pleasant experience. She really sounded like she generally wanted to help.

When I got mine a couple of months ago, it took about a week for the online pic to be updated to show a Quicksilver rather than a Quicksilver One, long enough that I was starting to get concerned that I had dreamed the whole thing up... LOL
As for "prime" or "sub-prime", those are subjective terms... but I would consider a no-AF card with rewards to be "prime" myself.
