Hi folks, after reading a few posts on the board I decided to PC from Capital One Platinum to QS. I was approved to change to Quicksilver. I keep hearing about QuickSilver One so does anyone know what the difference is? Also, Can I now apply for the QS One?
Only real difference is QS 1 has an annual fee, there regular QS does not. The rewards are exactly the same. QS1 is supposed to be easier to get

The above is true however do not apply for the Quicksilver one always try for the regular Quicksilver. if you don't qualify you get dropped down to a quicksilver one. Regular Quicksilver is a Visa has no fees, has an introduction bonus and interest rate that is pretty killer. High 680-700 can snag one.
This is the first time I've seen this. I've only seen people denied for a regular QS; not Capital One counter offering a QS1 after a QS denial
Generally speaking: MasterCard is Hamburger.
VISA is Filet Mignon.
Quicksilver is no longer issued as a Visa, nor are any other of the Cap1 personal CCs. Quicksilver is issued as a World Elite MC. ☺ Also, the APR can be good, but it's not a given.
The U/W criteria for the QS1 is probably less strict than the regular QS.

+1
While it used to be different (and could change in the future) at this time all non-cobrand Capital One products are issued as MasterCard exclusively.
I also don't recall hearing of anybody being offered a QS1 if not approved for a QS, but I might be overlooking something.
While not required, before applying for any Capital One product I highly recommend checking for a prequal offer first... they are generally solid, and will give you an idea which product you need to apply for.

Why do you say this? What's your reasoning?
It's just been my personal experience Mastercard branded credit cards will
start approving your Credit Apps with a 640 FICO and most VISA
branded credit cards start at around FICO 670..the same with AMEX.
I just thought that was pretty common knowledge in the Financial World.
