Which card do you have that you are trying to PC? This is an overuse of EO practices and not encouraged here. Not a rebuke just a comment about contacting Eo's for every little thing.

Login to your acct, under the "Services" tab click "More", on this page about half way down you will see a blue line for Live Chat. Open that link and ask the CS agent what offers are available for you. They will tell you immediately and can make any changes to your acct right then and there.

If you are about to hit your 1st anniversary with a QS1 you should PC out of it now. Unless you have had some negatives with Cap1 since you've had this card you would have this option open now. The QS is a fee free card.

I will note that if you are trying to PC to a QS Visa from this card it will never happen even at the EO level.

Re: QuicksilverOne annual fee

Her account is about a week old. I just noticed the AF pop up, and had heard they would waive it

OH, I didn'ty realize the acct is brand new. The Plat has no AF and the QS1 has a $39 AF and yes it is on the first statement. You will own that one (I've not read about anyone getting that one off) but it's a small fee to pay for such a great little card and you should earn enough cash back $$$ in the first 6mths to balance it out. By that time you can PC out of the QS1 into a standard QS with $0 AF.

Check out the link I put in an earlier reply here with respect to how to handle the Platinum card in a couple more weeks.

I read it already. Good info, I will use it when her second statement posts. I'm guessing you got lucky and had a short statement period for your first one and it seemed like only 1 statement and you could PC the Platinum.  That's my guess

No SIr,

It was a full month. If you login to your accts and look at the bottom of each card summary you will see a link to statements. If you click on it you will have one there (I don't remember if it was dated within a couple of days of my approval or my first login but it was there). I obsess about my accts now so I check them too much. I login everday and look all over for any messages, alerts, balance changes, ect.

Once you get your first alert for a new statement then go on live chat and PC the Plat.

Re: QuicksilverOne annual fee

I have no statements. No documents. So, maybe it just takes time.

Not true. I cannot change my QS-1 to a QS, even though I have had great relationship with them for 11 months, and even though I have 3 prime cards with them now, the guy on chat tells me I should open a new card.

That's the first I've read with that response on any forum. Are you sure you're not asking for a Visa product? Why not combine it into one of your other Cap1 MC products? I know for sure you can combine it into another MC and just throw the current CL into the other card.

Re: QuicksilverOne annual fee

I asked for a product change to a "regular quicksilver with no annual fee" I did not mention MC or Visa specifically. None of my other cards are 6 months. I intend to combine them later.

Re: QuicksilverOne annual fee

My husband started out with a $300 Capital One card January 2015.  After the 5 ontime payments, they raised the limit to $3300.   He was also able to change it to a QuickSilver One card for the cash back at that time.  They just raised it again to $6300 last month.  However, the annual fee just charged.  Because of this thread, we did a live chat. They were able to refund the fee, but they were not able to move his account to something without an annual fee, despite over a year of on time payments and paying the balance off in full every month.
