Wow!
I have had my Costco card for about 90 days. Just called for a CLI.
They took me from $10k to $22,200! Nice increase.
So, I wonder. We may not renew membership at Costco. I wonder if they would allow this to PC to BC Preferred???

Congrats on the CLI! However, I'm almost certain you can't PC out of a Costco Amex. If Amex tells you otherwise let us know!!

That is a very nice CLI...if you don't mind me asking, how much do you spend monthly to get that kind of increased?
Thanks...
I will. It is like 9 months before the membership expires so I won't know anything for quite a while. And, if my wife wants to renew the membership....
I might give them a call to see what the options are though. I will report back!

I have run $1900 through this card since it was opened. That is all.
I was shocked that the jump was that big. I now have three cards with them, all back-dated to 1979...

I wanted to follow up on this.
I just spoke with Amex and was told that you CAN PC from Costco to Blue Cash Preferred!
The account number and credit line will stay in tact. They simply send you the different card.
As always, the CSR was very nice and helpful!

Wow very good to know!
I asked about 3 times just to make sure and he said yes.
But he also said the Preferred is the ONLY card they would allow the PC to.
I also stated my CLI ran the CL up to $22,500. I was wrong! It is $22,200... LOL. I am getting old and must not have heard correctly.

That is a huge increased IMO....did they ask for any tax documents, etc?
What is your current util % and Fico?
Thanks, as the information provided will help others in obtaining CLI with Amex including myself
They have never asked for anything from me... I can prove my income though without a problem.
FICO are in the upper 790's right now. Oh so close to 800....
Util is around 20% - I know TOO HIGH but working on it!
Most likely will hit the magic 800 when I get the last card paid off... And, we just got approved with PSECU for their Visa / PSL with a $20k line so I am doing the cheap balance transfer to them to finish this last card up... I think it is 2.99% until the end of next year.
Honestly, I am not sure why Amex is so generous...
Now I will wait the 6 months and try again to see what happens...
