So I finally got the nerve up to apply for AMEX. All cr updated only 2 accounts reporting balances. I got a nice bump in scores. All 700 so i figured i would be good to go.
I pulled up the site and checked the pre qualified site. It still says to try for SPG but I got unnerved and figured I would shoot low. Apped for the gold card. I figured it would be the easiest. I would have apped for green but i just dont like that card, no reason.
Type in all info. It says its processing and then BOOM SORRY We are experiencing difficulties with our site. We will process your application ASAP. If you would like to check the status of your application click here. 
Talk about a cliffhanger. Every time I try to check it it is still down. WOW So sucks to be me right now. Guess i will check in the AM. Hope i get approved and not have to recon/BEG. I will. I have no shame. 
UPDATE Now it says cant locate app. try back in 24 hours. Great 
APPROVED!!!! OMG It's my 1st AMEX YAY!!!!!! OK now i got to go read the threads on how to get the revolver same pull.

No I got scared thinking I wouldnt get approved. My income is only 40k. I apped for plain ole gold. I figured if I get approved I can change it at a later date. Plus the charge card is not my goal to begin with. I want a revolver but Ive read here on the forums that it is easier to get a charge card, and if approved I can use same pull for revolver app.
I tried to call but it says office is closed.
Yeah well, maybe i should have waited for a preapproval in the mail 
I just really want an amex so bad.
I'm gardening til July to get the Amex PRG too.
