No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I am trying diligently to raise my scores. I have a First Premier CC and I just started a credit builder loan with my credit union. I need at least one more CC...Any suggestions??
Try Orchard Bank, its a secured CC. Let me know. You can also go to your bank and apply for a secured CC there.
Try the CC forums - and choose one without annual fees if possible. They'll have lists of CC companies (BK friendly CCs) that are sorted by credit score. Also, you can try whogavemecredit.com and make sure you look at the more recent info.
What you can get will depend a lot on your scores. Most rebuilding cards have an annual fee attached to them.
I have an Orchard which has been good to me. There is an annual fee of $29 and a CL of only $320 but it serves its purpose. It is not a secured card.
Mauves suggestion of Whogavemecredit is a good one. You can see what is needed before you apply.
Oh! And - check with your bank or credit union - they can probably tell you if you'll get approved for their card if you have your CR info available.
I have applied for the Orchard Bank Card, but it only qualifies me for a secured cc. I have applied for Credit One, they declined. Other than that, there arent many unsecured cc's out there that help rebuild the credit??
Did you check the credit card forums?
Also, why not take a secured one?
I went ahead and accepted the secured cc. Next question, what kind of affect should those 2 cc's and one credit builder loan have on my scores??
It should help as much as can be expected at this point.
Good choice on the Orchard secured, if you can afford put down more than the minimum.
I would recommend looking for something better than First Premiere in a few months. It is way too expensive to keep for very long.
What are your scores OP?
maybe you can apply for the bestbuy RewardZone MC ? i had a 605 EQ and was approved, no annual fee.
