Received Chase Freedom preapproval in mail but it doesn't mention the $200 signup bonus.

So I received the Freedom preapproval in mail. Actually I get one every 2 weeks since I opened checking account with them. I deposited 15k to get full signup bonus of $500 for opening the bank account. Now they keep sending me preapprovals for Slate, Freedom etc. I want freedom however the offers I receive in mail don't mention the currently offered signup bonus $200. Every other benefit is on the list, even the authorized user bonus but not the $200. Does this mean that using the preapproval id number from the letter will result in me getting a Freedom card without the $200 signup bonus? Is it because I already got them to pay me the previous $500 for bank account opening? Should I use the common application page online instead of the one from the letter and don't enter the preapproval number? Does the number matter if I have a bank account with them already? Seems like it shouldn't make a difference if I'm the same person.

Interesting to say the least. i think you should go to pre qual site online and see if it mentions the bonus. which it should. otherwise they may exclude you with that mail in offer.

I got the freedom 2 months ago with the $100 sign up offer. which i took. then early this month. they offered the $200. i sent them a message and they gave me the extra $100 as a good will gesture. so i did end up getting the $200. they were really good about it.

What I would do is to call them and ask. I believe this is something they can give you when you sign up. I just did the same thing a yesterday but for Capital One. I got a pre-approval a couple weeks ago in the mail for a CapitalOne Quicksilver and got approved after I applied.I was browsing yesterday the perks of my new card and saw that it has a $100 bonus. I know for a fact that this isn't included in my pre-approval letter. I gave them a call to ask them if it's included which they confirmed is not. So I asked if it's possible to add it to my new card (less than 2 weeks old). The rep I was talking to put in a request for review by the Rewards Department (or whatever they call it) and after 3 hours, I received a call back saying my request was approved!

So yeah, I will just call them and ask about it. Might work for you, too! Smiley Happy

I wouldn't over stress about it. Just call and ask before applying. At which point you can probably just finish the application over the phone. You can also just apply online and then call and have the offer added. They'll give it to you. Don't worry about it.

Have you tried Chase online pre qualifier? Chase is generally good about giving whatever bonus they're publicly advertising. I got burned by Amex a few years ago so I can understand your reluctance.

I think OP will be fine since the $200 bonus is freely available on the website at the moment
