Having been approved for a Discover iT card last week, I know for a fact that they pull Equifax.
And your EQ score is better than great.
If they denied you for the inquires and those have fallen off, or some of them, AND they invited you to reapply in 30 days then go for it.
You have a more than better chance of getting approved with this card.
I got approved for this card last week with an EQ lower than yours and a supernatural amount of inquires on my EQ report within the last month alone. If you don't make an approval automatically, I'd wager that over the phone you'd score on this, big.
I wasn't automatically approved but received a confirm code and was asked to call them. It was over the phone that I got approved with them. They asked me to verify certain personal information of course and actually asked about my work, etc. THEY WILL be expecting that whatever you put on your application matches whatever comes out of your mouth. So keep your story consistent.
Just my opinion based upon my recent experience. Please keep that in mind.
That's a lot of inquiries!
I got approved with 9 inquires on my EQ when Discover pulled it (they made 10).
If you don't really need this card (define "need" as you want) then you might be right about waiting.
If you've got enough accounts active to build history while your other inquires are falling off or loosing their affect on your score as time goes by, then for sure wait until you feel you've got a better than good chance to get this card.
As much unexpected success that i've received recently, the accursed Walmart has denied me twice in a month (didn't know it wasn't a good idea to NOT apply after the first time denied). If Discover is your version of my Walmart, then take some time and prepare for battle later!

As some of you may remember I was denied last month in the beginning of the month for two many inquiries. The inquiries have went down since and I was told to try again in 30 days. Should I pull the trigger and do I have any shot of being approved? This is my first ever invite from discover and I'm kinda shocked.
They pulled TU for me, I'm in TX. I have 14 INQs
