Applied for Chase Sapphire Preferred on Thursday, no instant approval but message that I would get a response within 2 weeks. Odd thing is, I'm not seeing anywhere that they've pulled my CR. I formerly had a Chase/Best Buy card, so is it possible they did a SP? I have SW here and have something similar with Experian and so far, no HP at all. I even ordered my latest FICO report here, showing good TU/EQ scores (742/734), absolutely no blemishes on my report, <10% utilization.
And to my question: can one get a recon on the weekend, or should I just wait til Monday to give them a call?

Chase is always HP. Call backdoor number on monday the one in IL. they have been real helpful for me. CSP is a very highend CC. Chase also says we can give you $500 and thats it and then they say for now. your scores seem great. they might just be trying to see what CL they want to give. call the APP status line
They are only open m-f
Thanks for the info, figured they might only be available during the week, was hoping that perhaps they might be able to get me an answer on the weekend. Just overly anxious!
Currently have AMEX Zync and Clear, Citi Diamond Preferred MC, Discover More, BofA BankAmericard Visa, Wells Fargo Platinum Visa, 1st Command Platinum Visa, HSBC Platinum Visa, Home Depot and Lowes store cards. Total credit currently available is just shy of $60K, utilzation right now is only ~$3500 on all cards, purposely carrying small balances on a few cards to show activity, income of $65K with household income around $95K. Figured I might be able to get CSP or if not, ask for the standard Sapphire Card. This would complete the portfolio that I've put together and can go into permanent gardening mode!

the CSP and CS doesnt matter just more benefits. i am sure chase will love to give the card with the $95 AF. they will make money. but they also may say you have to much credit. did you call the app status yet? and household income is no longer allowed to be used for income. it must be your own. if i was able to put down combined i would maybe have higher CL's
Yup, have called the app line, says the app was received on May 4th and I'll receive a response within 2 weeks, and that there's no updated information. Will be calling them on Monday morning. Figured household income might not be applicable anymore.
Chase: 888-622-7547 (Chase Executive Ofc. in IL) call that number monday (check your pm)
they do recon on weekends, I initially applied for CSP and had to close my freedom to open this card. this was done on a sunday btw. give the backdoor number a try, theyll be able to help you. good luck!
Well I followed one of the suggestions to give a Recon a try on the weekend (Sunday) and got APPROVED!!!! CL of $10K ! ! ! ! I had a freeze on my Experian report that I'd forgotten about, unfroze and got immediate approval from the backdoor credit analyst.
Didn't have to do any explanations (though I was prepared), since I have 9 inquiries showing on my Experian report. Simply verified my mailing address, told me I'd receive by CSP card within 2 weeks.
