Reduction of CC Debt!

I’m feeling good! I made a vow to pay the majority of my CC debt!

So far:

Citi DC (1500): 300 to 0

Amex (3500): 700 to 0

Old Navy Visa (2200):  475 to 0

Barclay (1300): 119 to 0

This coming week:

Chase (2000): 600 to 0

Walmart (4,000): 500 to 200 (special promotion ends 9/16)

Amazon (4,000): 500 (special promotion ends 9/16)

Although my overall utilization is not crazy high, I don’t like the fact that I had a balance on almost every single card. I will focus on using the above cards for rewards purposes; not swipe a new CC because it felt good! I’ve learned a great deal through this forum! My AMEX 3X CLI is Feb 8th, but will hold off when reports reflect my 0 balances. Very anxious to see how my FICO score will react

Re: Reduction of CC Debt!

I dislike the feeling of "debt"! I've known many people who have went bankrupt early in life; early to mid twenties! Some who still are against using credit to there advantage or one's who have had the same capital QS 1 for two plus years that is maxed out (750 limit). I praise this forum! However others choose not to educuate themselves!  Thank you for the support!

Re: Reduction of CC Debt!

Good job. My goal is to be debt free by May or June.  Had a couple of big ticket items to buy for the house and I hope to be paid off very soon.

Re: Reduction of CC Debt!

I'm working on pretty much the same thing.  So far I've paid off Walmart and CreditOne (closed CreditOne soon after), next Amazon, Care Credit and Chase in that order.  It helps that my tax refund this year will be able to cut the Chase balance in half.
