Hey everyone,
It's been 180 days since I last requested a CLI from American Express and thought about hitting them up for more today. However, I recently refinanced my car 2 months ago and up until 3 days ago it showed both loan balances on my report. So depending on when Amex did their soft pull they could be seeing a loan balance of 54,000 instead of 22,000.
Now if I ask for a CLI and do not receive the amount I desire and refuse it. Can I ask again next month or would I have to wait 90 days?
Why not just wait until the loans update on your reports?
American Express usually has up to date SP's or at least ones from at most 30 days back. If you want you can wait a month and request the CLI. I cannot imagine refusing a CLI counter offer but do as you please.

Even if the loan updates on his reports, unless Amex SPs the OP they won't see the update.
I suggest waiting until Amex updates your FICO score on their site; once the score updates (which will probably be a nice gain BTW) you will know they have SPd you and that your CLI request will be going off of the most recent, better information.

In the past, Amex has used older SPs for CLIs. Idk if it's different now they offer monthly EX scores. It's worth the wait especially if you get the CL you want/need.
Which card are you contemplating the CLI, and how much of a CLI do you have in mind?
If they deny your request, you need to wait 90 days for next try. Good luck.
What was your Ex score 30-45 days ago and what is it now? If it is 720 or more both times you should be ok for 3x the limit.
