Curious what folks think about maybe removing myself as an AU on my wife's 300 dollar limit Best buy MC?
We have had that card for about a year. We got it strictly to show an account on her credit and AU'd me for the same reason.
However, its only 300 dollars and I can't help but wonder if another better Card Company would view such a low limit as a potential red flag or something?
I would still retain about 2.5 years on my AAoA without it. 1.5 years worst case scenario.
That card will have a zero balance on Monday morning btw.
Thoughts?
Anyone? Buehler?
As long as it's reporting positively, I don't see the problem with staying on as an AU. One might be able to say your Credit One and Cash Rewards could be a red flag as well. Besides, everyone has to start somewhere. I don't think lenders take AU accounts into much consideration. Leave it on, until it starts reporting lates or high UTL.
There is a sock drawer for a reason
Thanks. Its heading to the back corner of the sock drawer...to be taped down after being superglued.

If there ever was a CC that was meant for the sock drawer straight from approval its gotta be the BBRZMC.
