Removing myself from being a authorized user

I am a authorized user by my brothers accounts on five credit cards all of them have past due over 90 days and charge off
I submitted a dispute to remove it saying I am not the owner of the account will they remove it ?
Also will I see a change on my credit score wen its removed ?

Re: Removing myself from being a authorized user

Have yuor brother remove you with the creditor.  If the TL's aren't removed from your reports then dispute them as not yours.

Re: Removing myself from being a authorized user

The CRA will remove it. I had this issue when my mother died. One dispute and they were deleted. No issues. You can also call the bank and ask for the same.

Re: Removing myself from being a authorized user

CRAs delete AU accounts with no problems, at least they did for me. Took couple of days after submitting disputes. Experian even has it somewhere on their site that they delete AU accounts per request. Your score is supposed to go up, how many points is another question. If these are the only bad marks on your reports you will see a significant raise.

Equifax deleted it with no problem, I think it took them longer than other two CRAs, but seems like EQ disputes always take longer
