I think the Chase Freedom M/C would be a good choice especially because you can transfer points to your Sapphire account to combine and redeem faster. That is what I do with mine. I would not worry about having so many "eggs in one basket" with Chase. I have two cards and my car loan through them, so I don't think three products would be a big deal in your case. Citi is much better with limit increases (soft instead of hard every time with Chase), and generally I have seen them give large limits in comparison to others. Just sayin'! In regards to people saying you have too much credit, I disagree lol. My recently added Gold PR AMEX makes 11 and I'm 23. I assume I'll garden over the years to come, but still have other cards on my wish list. You should have another MasterCard for sure, I like the OnePass as well. That silver logo is nice!!! Good luck.
Can you tell me how the combining works? Is it automatic? So say this month freedom earns 5% back on gas, would that mean I can choose to earn 5 points per dollar on gas instead? I prefer UR points over cash back as I have been able to get quite a bit of value out of them.

The cash back is automatically converted to UR Points on the Freedom account anyway. I can flip back and forth between the Sapphire and Freedom UR Accounts, and there is a place where you can move points from one or the other. So I use the Sapphire on dining, Freedom for gas (or whatever the category it's on), combine the points and get a nice gift card!
Really? Thats very interesting and put freedom at the top of my list then. So after your statement cuts you can choose if you want UR points or cash back? Or does freedom award you UR points that you can request a cash out with?
Sorry ive not done much research into freedom as ive always thought it was only a cash back card and had not had much interest in such a card.
Edit: I found this on their site. Looks like you earn UR points.
Rewards Currency
Rewards will be earned as points, which can be redeemed for cash. 1% cash back equals 1 point. If you choose to redeem for cash back, 1 point equals $0.01 cash back. For example, 2,000 points can be redeemed for a $20 check.
So I can tie this with SP and transfer to Hyatt then?

Yeah the Freedom just goes straight to Ultimate Rewards. I've never had a "cash back" balance, just points. Of course you can choose a statement credit, but we both know there are better rewards through gift cards and other lovely little things on there haha..

So I can tie this with SP and transfer to Hyatt and other partners then? Like a pool of points?

Just FYI, you have to find a MasterCard link to an app or the card might come as a Visa Signature. My best friend has it in signature and loves his. I just didn't want another Visa card..
Noted, but can I tie this with SP and transfer to Hyatt and other partners then? Like a pool of points?

I'm not sure about transferring with Hyatt. I'll take a look at the online account. Anything you can do with the UR on the Sapphire is the way the Freedom account acts like. I can select which one I want and then move points to one or the other to cash them in faster...
Wow! Thank you so much. Sapphire preferred can transfer to partners such as Hyatt and United. This is great. It has the 3 things that really seem to make me want the card. No AF, rapid earner, and can transfer UR points.
Thanks again!
You bet..I've got some screenshots for you to see just a sec..
