Reporting question- (boa)

My due date is the 1st- I've pif this month so no min is due right now-but charged 179 for groceries over the weekend.. That is my balance as of right now- If I pay the 179 by the first it will report as 0 right?

Re: Reporting question- (boa)

Yes, it should report 0 if you pay it off before the statement cuts, but sometimes strange things happen, like it reports multiple times during the month or something like that.

Re: Reporting question- (boa)

No, if they due date is the first, it's likely already reported.  If you have a 20 day grace period, whatever balance you had around the 10th or so of last month reported, unless BoA is different.  Your statement should list the "statement date" seperate from your "due date."  The balance that was shown on your statement as "outstanding balance" is what likely reported to the bureaus.

Re: Reporting question- (boa)

yea it's all ready reported for June- My statement cuts around the 8/10th with boa, just my due date for July is the 1st- the balance that shows on my reports now is my may cut date balance.

Re: Reporting question- (boa)

Right, so your balance should report again as of May 10th approximately.

This means if you PIF now and on the 10th you have charged $100 in groceries, your balance will report as $100, not $0.

Re: Reporting question- (boa)

Sorry to hear your baby is sick.

I hope you make it to the bank, but I wouldn't sweat it since your statement doesn't cut until the 10th.  You have plenty of time, especially if you pay online.
