Requesting cli before 61 days

I got my BCE last month on the fifth and for some odd reason was also given ED. My BCE has a limit of 3500 and my ED has 1000 I probably run 3-5k thru the cards and pay after each purchase they also haven't hit my report yet. But since the 61 day rule is no longer, how likely is it to be approved for a cli on my measley ED? Only thing I am worried about is I lost about 20 for the inquiry. & closing two accounts.

Best to go for increase on the larger limit. Known fact that when you have a 1k amex the first few cli request are denied. Don't ask why it is just the way the is. i would the the bce up to 10.5k and worry about the ed later. at 12 months you can always transfer some of the limit from the bce to the ed. If you are denied cli on the ED. you will have to wait 90 days to request again on either card.

Too bad. Tried to warn you before you pulled trigger. Never know. They have been known to approve with 7-10 day message. Just not that often. Smiley Sad

Really the 1k limit on Amex is a lets see if we can trust you limit. Although you pif with them. They also look what you do with other creditors. It's hard to break past 1-2k Amex limit in less than 6 months.
