I'm debating who should apply for what between DH and I. When I was considering Prestige and/or Platinum AmEx, I was going to be the Primary since I'd be the one that would potentially use the lounge access more than DH (some business travel without him). I've decided against those for now and am still considering the RC. I realized that the lounge access isn't a big deal and isn't a consideration.
What benefits on the RC would be person specific? Any hotel related things, I'm not concerned about as we'd pretty much always be together for that. If I read things correctly, the $300 travel credit can be used by AU as well. And though I'm not super concerned about it, I can't tell about the lounge access, any idea?
He's the one that needs more open credit for utilization purposes. He's the one who's gotten higher limits on the last round of cards. He's got lower scores. I'm the one with the Chase (primary) relationship. To make things easy, I'd love to be the primary for this and Hyatt (I think those are the two we'll try for soon) to keep it all on one log-in, but since he needs the utilization and Chase has become somewhat sketchy, I was thinking have him app for RC and me Hyatt. Really about the only reasons I can think of doing it that way (rather than me RC and him Hyatt) is that I've seen higher RC SLs and I think he'd enjoy the whole 'thing' that goes along with the RC.
Anything I'm not considering here? Alternate ideas?
No, I believe all your thoughts are correct and pretty sure the AU can use lounge.
When you add an AU, you can then call up and request a loungeclub card for them. They'll send one to you. If you need it quick they can expedite it and it will be there within 5 days.
Spending on your AU card can count towards $300 airline incidental credit, but YOU, as the primary card holder would need to be the one to call to get it reimbursed.

I guess THAT means it has to be me.
Thanks.

He can SPEND all the money for it (with his card that you get him), but only you can ask them to reimburse it (and prevent forest fires)
Spending, he's good at. Calling banks etc., not so much.
You can usually send a secure message to get it taken care of as well. I don't like calling either, so I feel his pain
