Can't combine the upgrade cert and 4th night free, however, you may be able to combine 4th night free and the Citi prestige special Ritz benefits (free breakfast, hotel credits, room upgrades)
Contact the Citi prestige concierge and get a quote for the hotel and mention the special Ritz privileges.
Once you get the quote, compare the price to the z38 price on Ritzcarlton.com.
Depending on the price difference, the $100 hotel credit, 5 meal offerings a day, and free alcohol might be worth it (using the club level upgrade certificate.
I'd recommend booking the room through Ritz carlton using a club level upgrade cert on a flexible rate just in case availability disappears. You can always cancel if the prestige turns out to be a better deal.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try my best to help. Are the club level upgrades limited? Stays would be with wife and two kids, one is an infant, so would I have to pay more for them?
Yes they are limited in that you get 3 certificates each year for up to a 7 night stay
Sorry, I misspoke. I know there are 3 a year but are there limits to party size. I was wondering if I would have to pay additional fee for my kids per night at club level.

I doubt you would have to pay extra for your children. I have my eyes on the one in St. Thomas well. Loooks very nice

Ritz Carlton Marina Del Ray is beautiful. To answer your question you shouldn't have any trouble as long as you're not a party of 6 or 7.

Yeah, it looks great and wife and I really want one vacation that is just a complete relaxing experience where as the LA one would be sight seeing a couple of days and 1 day at Disneyland and 1 at Universal for Harry Potter.

Yeah that was where I was leaning towards but the los angeles one seems closer to everything and all I ever hear is how brutal traffic is there.

Shouldn't be an issue with children. They will usually charge between $50-$100 extra for each additional person over 2 adults, but with children you should be okay. If they say anything just be like "look, they're a kid, they're not drinking all the booze."
