Ritz Carlton Card - Annual Fee?!?!?!

So I was approved beginning of Jan for the Ritz Card through Chase and have a limit of $7,200 on it. I have been running it up fairly quickly with wedding expenses to hit the 3k for $140,000. Can't wait to stop spending money in May when this wedding happens!

Quick question though, So I've had the card for well over a month and they haven't ever charged the $395 annual fee. Anybody run across this? I don't want to kick a hornet's nest, but I find it odd that the fee never charged to the card.

Has your 1st statement generated on your Ritz?  It's usually included with the first one.  Alas, if yours came sans-A/F, no point in contacting them to add it unless it shows up on a future statement.

Have you received your first statement yet?  That's when it appears.

I'm enrolled in both the Ritz and Marriott programs.  There is no points complications for having both cards.

Wait! You get hit with the A/F upfront?? Most card don't hit you until after the first year. I believe the CSP is this way as well.

Yep, for the most recent 140K offer, A/F is is charged on first statement.  The other offer, 70K, typically waives the A/F for the first year.

ETA: BMO/Diners Club was the same for either card.  A/F charged with first statement.

CSP has the first year AF waived. Some other cards do the same. The Ritz does not waive the first years AF, so you have to pay it.
